Driveways built to real base depth
Vehicle-rated installations get the compacted base depth the load actually requires, not the minimum that looks fine on day one.
Pavers fail from the bottom up. Almost every sunken, rutted or weed-filled paver driveway in Central Florida traces back to the same thing: not enough compacted base under it. The pavers on top are rarely the problem — and a proper base is the part you can't see and can't easily fix later.
Evercrest Construction Group is a licensed and insured contractor based in Orlando, serving Orlando, FL 32824 and the surrounding communities. Every job starts with a written scope and one clear price — not a verbal estimate that grows once work begins.

Cool-to-the-touch surfaces with slip-appropriate texture and drainage pitched away from the house and pool.
Bordered and edge-restrained so the field doesn't spread and separate over time.
Settled sections lifted, re-based and reset — usually far cheaper than a full replacement.
Locks the joints, drains properly and dramatically cuts the weed and ant problem that plagues plain sand.
Optional sealing to hold color against Florida UV and make the surface easier to clean.

They cost more up front and they're the better choice if you want the look, or if you may need access to what's underneath — pavers lift and reset, concrete has to be broken out. Concrete is the value option. We'll quote both honestly if you're deciding.
Far less with polymeric sand, which hardens in the joints. Nothing eliminates it permanently outdoors in Florida, but properly installed and sealed pavers are a maintenance item, not a constant fight.
Decades — the pavers themselves outlast most other surfaces, and individual damaged ones can be swapped. Lifespan is decided almost entirely by base preparation and edge restraint, which is where we spend the effort.
Sometimes, if the slab is sound and drains correctly and the added height won't cause problems at doors and thresholds. We'll assess the slab before recommending it — over a cracked or settling slab it's a bad idea.
Tell us about your project and we’ll come measure it. You’ll get a written scope and one number — and if we’re not the right company for the job, we’ll say so.
